Recent News Updates
Section 8 Gaming
Posted by Mythonian at 3:40:29 PM

Greetings everybody.

This will likely be the final news update for this website.

It is commonly known and plainly obvious that this clan is inactive and can hardly be called a clan anymore.  The simple fact that even a few of you come here anymore shows that you are interested in being in a clan.  This post is for you guys.

Another gaming clan, known as Section 8 Gaming (S8G) has recently come to my attention.  I have looked it over and have become interested.  They are what I like to call a 'mega' clan, as it has well over 1600 members, a third of which are very active, and  It has a good ranking system and chain of command.

S8G Snipuh and myself have migrated over there, and any and all members are welcome to join us!

Right now there is a recruiting halt for our company, but in about a month there won't be because we will split, and then you will be able to join with us into out company.

Check out their website, here .

Before making an account on their website, talk to S8G Snipuh over XBox Live, he will tell you better about the clan, and he has the ability to recruit you because he is a Captain. You need to talk to him before signing up, because people from other batallions will try to poach you when you get onto the site.

There is a thread when you load the website called "are you interested in joining S8G". Click on it, and then click the first thread, inside of which there is a link called "info on S8G", which has the rank structure, honor code, info about S8G, etc.

Hope to see you there!

Bungie Weekly Update: 06/26/09
Posted by Mythonian at 10:48:50 PM

This week's update includes a recap of the Bungie Day 7 on the 7th playlist where you can win Recon by either defeating one of the multiple Bungie staff teams, or by succeeding in one of the various other ways which will not be disclosed until after the day ends (like the Valentines Day one, with things like Most Kills, Most Sticks, etc).  Also, the Render-to-Video system is talked about:

For the easily confused:

  • Bungie Pro Video is going live on Bungie Day (7/7)
  • It’s bundled with Bungie PRO
  • All Bungie PRO members get 5 render minutes per month
  • Monthly render minutes do NOT roll-over
  • You should wait to buy Bungie PRO until on or after 7/7

Just a little longer until September 22nd and Halo 3: ODST's release.

Post E3 Bungie Podcast
Posted by Mythonian at 9:23:17 PM

You can go here to download it, or here to listen directly to it.

Information on Bungie Day (July 7), the Halo: Reach demo invitation and how it relates with Halo 3: ODST is present, as well as clarification the Heretic, the Midship remake, is not a re-imagining, but a semi-pixel-perfect remake.

They talk a lot about what they did at E3, and then go on to Bungie Day.

Bungie Day: 7 on the 7th (or Bungie vs the World, as it may end up being called) playlist will be a 4v4 match where you can potentially win Recon!!  It will be entirely Community-Made maps on Sandbox and Foundry maps that have never been seen on Matchmaking before.  No Bungie-made maps, but it is Mythic DLC Required.

Two ways to win:  Just by playing, you have a chance to win Recon armor, or a number or other prizes, such as Render Points.  If you play against the Bungie Team, which will be a group of 4 and will be playing for the entire 24 hour period, and defeat them, you will win Recon.

Be there, I will.

You and ghr were defending against a combined attack by the enemies, and I rushed in there and took down both of their UNSC players, but couldnt quite get their Covenant one. It was on Fort Dean.

I rush with the prophet in 2:00 minutes... and myth, I have NEVER EVER let you do something like warthog rush and have me sit back and watch. I would have either been prophet and helping like crap or I would have had other good units that were helping

ok guys im gonna have to go and get some sleep, its 03:17 am here and i gotta get up in the morning as i have lots to do.

im pretty excited about monday, as monday the new dlc should be out.. as they have done the update for the game the other day and they have set up the achievments ( if you compare games with someone then you see the new achievments) also with most games such as resident evil 5 when that happened it was only 2 days before the dlc was released so it should be monday if all goes well.

Finally, someone uses this!

Agreed on all points, but I dislike the Covenant side, it is just so centered on one unit and seems to have less variety overall...

I also do not believe it is entirely fair that your Disruption Bomb takes FOREVER to cool-down so you can use it again... Really makes it difficult to defend when it stops working and it is only half cooled-down....

I prefer Forge, and I usually open up with a Warthog rush (sometimes extremely effective--I have ended the game with it before in a 3v3 when my allies didnt attack at all[Snipuh Assassin and ghr]), and then transition into either Vultures or Grizzlies (sometimes a Wolverine/Cobra combination), depending on what the enemy is using.

yeah i suppose he does get his speed back when he is flying.. but the only reason i liked the phrophets speed was because i could go around and collect all the resources on the map before anyone else ^^ because allot of noobs seem to not go for the resources lol.

and the prophet was fine before the uppdate.. i mean if people cant handle a rush like 4 mins into the game then they should learn to play better. and the prohet has his speed because he is weaker than the other leaders. its the same reason he has a shield, because he is weaker than the others.. once you get the shield down the prophet goes down really quickly where as the brute takes allot of beatings before going down and the same with the arbi.. altho armi rage mode makes him super quick which can be annoying when ya trying to shoot with jackels lol..

jackels are my fav unit.. definately when they have beam rifles.. i had 30 jackels once and they were all level 3 and they took down a fully upgraded uncs bace quicker than a fully upgraded prophets cleansing beam ^^

Yeah, I think Regret wasn't overpowered, so there was no reason to ruin him. Think about it this way, when he gets his flight ability he flies fast again. I only play as Forge for quick resources and either Gauss rushed or Grizzly rushes.

hehe yeah reget is what i normally play as well altho the new
update as completly ruined him.. he is stupiidly slow now...
he had the speed because the brute and arbi was allot stronger
and now he is too weak i think.. so now i am playing as brute as
i dont like the arbi that much.. and i dont like unsc that much..
i really own as covenant lol... hmmm my rank online is colonel ^^
cant wait to be brig and then general ^^ leveling up should be much
easier now with the new update.. i havnt played online really since
the new update i have mostly been playing skirmish's against legendary ai
